The Best Selling Computer Books at O’Reilly

Top Computer and Programming Books
O’Reilly Media, publishers of the popular cookbooks and the ‘Missing Manual’ series, have released a list of their best selling computer and programming related books for the previous week.
Book sales figures, they say, are a good indicator of “technology trends.” If that’s true, we pretty much know what software and programming languages are currently popular among consumers and developers respectively.
There are at least five Windows 7 related books in the best-sellers list while another five are about Microsoft Office 2007 (Office 2010 is not available to consumers yet). In the programming category, books on Python, jQuery, Java and PHP with MySQL are among the top-sellers. O’reilly also has a book on Twitter, written by Tim O’reilly himself, but it’s Facebook that made it to the top list.
The book sale data is provided by Nielsen BookScan, a service that tracks books sales at all major book retailers including Amazon, Borders, and others.
